Anies Baswedan Inaugurates Renewed Pedestrian Bridges in Sudirman

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurates three pedestrian bridges (JPO) in Sudirman, namely Bundaran Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), and Polda Metro Jaya.
"Thank God, the JPOs are officially opened for public starting on today," Anies said at GBK bridge, Jakarta, Thursday, Feb. 28.
The three pedestrian bridges, which are integrated with the Transjakarta bus stops, are officially opened for public at 12 pm Jakarta time.
Anies Baswedan says the bridges were built with unique and artistic design, featured with RGB LEDs at night.
However, currently, only two bridges that can be accessed by the public since there are still some works at the sidewalks of Polda Metro Jaya bridge.

"But the structural and functional of the three JPOs are completed," said Jakarta’s Bina Marga head Hari Nugroho.
The revitalization of the three pedestrian bridges, that is expected to have spent Rp53 billion, was proposed by Sandiaga Uno when he was posted as Jakarta deputy governor.
