KPK: HGU Must be Listed in Wealth Report

26 February 2019 06:51 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that the land-cultivation permit (HGU) is one type of assets that must be listed in the state official wealth report (LHKPN) because the business license is ownership rights that have economic value.

“In principle, all assets must be reported,” said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah in his office, Monday, February 25.

However, Febri underlined that HGU is not the only ownership rights that must be declared, noting that land-use rights, building rights (HGB), intellectual property rights are also required to be noted in the wealth report.

“So many ownership rights that have economic values must be reported,” he noted.

Febri continued to say that the status of the ownership rights should be reviewed. If the ownership rights on behalf of a business firm, and state official has shares in the company, the state officials will be obliged to report the total share he owned.

KPK earlier announced that each state official reporting LHKPN had submitted their detail assets, including shares ownership and other securities. However, the anti-graft body has not yet published the overview of the assets and elements of wealth reported by state officials.

The LHKPN report is regulated in Law No. 28 of 1999 concerning Good Governance and Freedom from Corruption, Collusion, and Nepotism, in which stipulating people who are obliged to declare their assets are state officials themselves.
