TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian online service app Gojek awarded one of its Go-car online taxi drivers, Imam Suachadij (50), for helping deliver a baby of one of his customers inside his car.

“We are proud that many of our partner drivers all have high social senses, especially Pak Imam who helped deliver a customer’s baby,” said Head of Corporate Affairs Gojek Alfianto Domy Aji in Semarang on Wednesday.

Gojek Indonesia awarded Imam Suachadij by providing him with insurance and an Allianz three-year health insurance policy.

The heroic acts of the Go-car driver went viral after he took the order to drive a husband and wife couple Sandy Eko Prasetyo.- Febriana Kristi Ningrum to a hospital on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

On their way to the hospital, Febriana warned the dirver that she was about to give birth and was followed by Imam stopping the car in the side of the road to assist Febriana delivering her baby before continuing their journey to Hermina Hospital Semarang.
