TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Garda Jokowi Chairman and former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chairman Antasari Azhar scored Prabowo Subianto’s performance in the presidential debate below Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
“Actually, both men performed great based on their answers. However, Pak Jokowi was better and transparent. Meanwhile, Prabowo had an inaccurate answer. If it’s scored, Jokowi gets 8 and Prabowo scores below 5,” said Antasari to journalists at Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung on Sunday night, February 17.
Antasari said that Prabowo was not focused on answering some questions and seemed to lack the comprehension; “[The debate] discussed infrastructure in another alternative form, not about infrastructure in the form of toll roads,” he said.
He argues that Prabowo’s criticism against the government’s rice imports – despite the surplus in production – was intelligently answered by Jokowi who mentioned about economic balance behind the government’s decision to import rice.
Antasari Azhar`s visit to Bangka Belitung was not just as a volunteer movement for Jokowi camp but also a homecoming to his hometown.
