TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The manager of the state-owned electricity firm PT PLN of Putussibau, Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan, Ibnu, said that the corporate will run rolling blackout in the region due to the lack of fuel supply from the country’s oil and gas company Pertamina.
“Our fuel stock remains for the next four days, so we have to conduct rotating power outage,” Ibnu told Antara in Putussibau, Wednesday, February 13.
According to Ibnu, his side has not yet obtained a certainty in light of fuel delivery from Pertamina to the Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) of Sawai Putussibau, and that power outage will occur in Putussibau area and its vicinity.
“We cannot assure when (the power outage) will end, as that depends on the fuel supply. If the fuel is sufficient, we will no longer need to run rolling blackout,” Ibnu noted, adding that PLN Putussibau requires 32,000 liters of fuel per day.
Meanwhile, Pertamina Region VI official, Gilang, claimed that the fuel supply for PLN Putussibau run in smooth. “Alhamdulillah (praise the God), the fuel supply is sufficient,” Gilang remarked.
