TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning of Jakarta weather today, Friday, January 4. BMKG estimates that rain will fall in South Jakarta and East Jakarta.

“Beware of the potential of rain with lightning and strong winds with a short duration in the area of South Jakarta and East Jakarta during the day and in the afternoon,” BMKG wrote on its official website, Friday, January 4.

In the morning, the entire Jakarta area is predicted to be partly cloudy. BMKG predicts rain will fall in South Jakarta and East Jakarta during the day. In the evening, Jakarta will be partly cloudy.

The average air temperature in Jakarta, according to BMKG website, is between 23-33 degrees Celsius, with the humidity level at around 60-90 percent.

In the early week of 2019, the BMKG issued an early warning of the potential of strong winds in several regions in Indonesia, including Jakarta. The strong wind is expected to last until January 6.
