TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Hundreds of people who bought Sukaraja Village Apartment units reported PT Arman Sakti Berjaya (ASB) for alleged fraud. PT ASB is the developer of the apartment.
According to the reports, the management of PT ASB has received advance payments from consumers, but to this day the building has not been built.
Sansan (39) said he had paid Rp44 million down payment in installments since Februari 2016. "I became interested into buying it when I visited the Indonesia Property Expo 2016 in Jakarta Convention Center," he said on Tuesday, December 18.
According to Sansan, the developer promised to start building the apartment in early 2017. But as of this day, there is no sign of a building yet.
“At the end of 2017 they said there was a concept and layout change due to permits, that's why the construction was delayed," Sansan said.
In February 2018, Sansan visited PT ASB office again in Cibinong, Bogor Regency, and was told that there would be no construction as it had been canceled. "We were offered to have our money returned in stages," Sansan said.
However that promised was never fulfilled. PT ABS president director Ronald Permana had signed an agreement that the refunds will be paid in four stages between July and October 2018 at the 20th day of each month.
Sansan suspects that all of this is a fraud and that he and hundreds of other people have been scammed.
"The victims lost money between Rp6 million and Rp190 million,” he said.
Another buyer, Bambang Tri (56), said he reported the alleged fraud to the Bogor Police on November 17.
"I've lost a total of Rp189 million,” he said.
The Bogor Police Precinct chief, Ad. Sr. Comr. Andy M. Dicky, confirmed that reports have been filed. "The reports are being investigated by the Crimes division proses," he said.
As of the time of this report, PT ASB had not responded to Tempo's request for clarification.
