TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Numerous job sites exists in Indonesia to help you find a job, but not many support potential workers who are from the diffable community, which is derived from “different abilities”. However, Kerjabilitas is the most popular job site among this community.

The job site headquartered in Yogyakarta was formed in 2014 under the initiatives of Kerjabilitas CEO, Rubby Emir and several partners that have professional experience upon working in non-governmental organizations (NGO).

“The initial stages of its establishment, we held a group discussion heavily focused on people with disabilities across Malang, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, and Jakarta, which was meant to know what the group needs regarding employment,” said Rubby to Tempo on Tuesday, October 15.

Kerjabilitas is an online platform that accepts the job applications from diffable community across Indonesia. Up until now there are at least 9,000 diffable people submitting job applications in the website.

Roughly around 250 of them have been hired by companies prior to uploading their CVs in Kerjabilitas. The site itself does not charge its users and doesn’t limit their level of education.

Rubby explained that there are 1,500 companies from numerous fields of work that are officially listed as Kerjabilitas’ partners with most of them being companies such as banks, retail, hotel, and mid-management. “Job offers in Kerjabilitas are split into two types, based on business fields and business scale,” said Rubby.
