Police Chief Hands Over Rp19bn to NTB Police

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian handed over Rp19 billion to the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police to repair the police headquarters in Lombok and aid victims of the Lombok quake .
“I symbolically handed over a total of Rp19 billion to the NTB Police chief,” he said to the NTB Police chief, Brig. Gen. Achmat Juri, in NTB on Thursday, August 23.

Tito said the Rp10 billion of the money came from the National Police HQ contingency fund, while the rest Rp9 billion was collected from regional police headquarters across the nation.
Earlier, South Sulawesi Police chief Insp. Gen. Umar Septono also gave Rp1 billion to assist victims of the Lombok quake . He handed over the money to Achmat Juri at Lombok International Airport.
