TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The trial on the corruption practice during the electronics ID (e-KTP) procurement project is held today, February 12. Today's hearing is to take the testimonies of witnesses brought by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutors.
The witnesses today are Agung Gunandjar Sudarsa and Taufiq Effendi. Agung was a member of the House of Representatives' (DPR) Budgetary Board in the period of 2009-2012. He was also the chairman of DPR's Commission II from Golkar Party (2012-2014).
Taufiq Effendi is a former deputy of DPR's Commission II and member of the DPR in 2009-2013 from the Democrat Party.
Taufiq said he does not know Setya's role in the corruption practice in this project.
Another withness is Mohammad Jafar Hafsah, the former faction chairman of the Democrat Party. Jafar admitted having received almost Rp1 billion from Democrat's former treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin, but said he didn’t know that the money was part of the kickback for the e-KTP procurement.
