Jakarta Vows to Provide e-KTP Issuance Services within 15 Minutes

TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Jakarta Population and Civil Registry Agency is committed to providing effective and efficient civil registry document services. There are 12 civil registration documents services that can be finished in 15 minutes, including the issuance of electronic ID cards or e-KTP.

“The process of KTP issuance, which previously took one hour to several days, now only takes 15 minutes,” said the agency head Budi Awaludin at the launching event of the 15-minute Jakarta Civil Registry Service at City Hall, Tuesday, April 19.

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan also said on the occasion that the rapid service would boost public satisfaction and the level of public trust in the government.

The 12 civil registry document services that can be completed in just 15 minutes are:

  1. Records of residents’ biodata aged below 12 years;
  2. Issuance of Family Cards (KK);
  3. Issuance of electronic Identity Card (e-KTP);
  4. Issuance of Child Identity Cards (KIA);
  5. Legalization of residence documents that lack an electronic sign or TTE;
  6. Issuance of proof of non-permanent population data collection (STBP2NP);
  7. Issuance of the excerpt birth certificate;
  8. Issuance of the excerpt death certificate;
  9. Issuance of birth-death certificate;
  10. Re-issuance of lost/damaged excerpt documents with a proof of a letter of validity;
  11. Issuance of the residential certificate (SKTT);
  12. Records of important events for Indonesian citizens and foreigners abroad.
