Kamis, 1 Januari 1970 07:00 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Hong Kong revoked the license of two migrant worker placement companies (PJTKI).
"With the revocation of business license belonging to agent Java Maid Recruitment Service and Sunday Employment Agency by Hong Kong Authority, we also revoked the distribution license of Indonesian migrant workers (TKI) of both agents in Hong Kong," KJRI Hong Kong Tri Tharyat said in Beijingon Sunday (15/10).
He explained that the extraction of the license was executed since both agents have violated the law in Hong Kong without providing further explanation.
Tri reminded that Indonesian migrant workers have to abide the law in Hong Kong and Indonesia. He also urged the workers to report practices of agents that go against the law before and after work place in Hong Kong.
To further avoid victimizing worker candidates, KJRI Hong Kong released a list of 309 PJTKI that run legal operations.
