TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chief Agus Rahardjo said that he has already knew that the police will question Novel Baswedan in Singapore in the near future. He said that the police have coordinated with the KPK.
"If needed, I will accompany [Novel]," Agus said yesterday in Jakarta. However, he could not confirm the schedule of questioning of the KPK investigator who was the victim of an acid attack in April. "I don’t know when. But I think it’s been scheduled."
Novel was attacked with hydrochloric acid by two unidentified persons after he performed the early morning prayer near his house on April 11. The KPK investigator suffered damaged eyes and has been treated in a Singapore hospital. Novel is now awaiting doctor’s decision on whether to undergo a surgery to fix his left eye.
The police said that they already have the sketches of the assailant of Novel Baswedan. However, they could yet identify them.
