KPK to Accompany Novel Baswedan during Police Interrogation

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirms that the agency will accompany Novel Baswedan during police interrogation over an acid attack.
Novel will be questioned after the police examined the witnesses in the case.
KPK deputy chief Laode Muhammad Syarif reveals that the mechanism of Novel’s questioning has been discussed by the KPK and the police. He expresses that the two agencies have agreed to swiftly investigate Novel case.

Novel was attacked with hydrochloric acid by two individuals riding a motorcycle in Kepala Gading on April 10. The attack left him wounded in his face and eyes. He is still being treated in a Singapore hospital.
Earlier, Jakarta Metro Police who handle Novel Baswedan's case had said that they will cross-examine the testimony on the acid attack after Eid holidays. Spokesman Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said that the examination will be conducted before the police question the KPK senior investigator in Singapore.
Argo added that the witnesses to be cross-examined are those claiming to see the acid attackers. The results will be taken for confirmation by Novel.
