TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga Jakarta-Cikampek of Bekasibranch, West Java, recorded from Monday (26/6) to Friday (30/6) that there were around 506,000 vehicles entering Jakarta through main Cikarang toll gate, Bekasi due to Eid homecoming returning flow.

He explained that from Monday (26/6) to Friday(30/6), it is estimated that 506.000 vehicles (59 percent) out of the total of 857,000 vehicles constitute the homecoming returning flow to Jakarta. It means that the remaining 41 percent is predicted to return to Jakarta from Saturday (1/7) to Monday (3/7), he continued.
He went on by saying that Jasa Marga has prepared a number of strategies to anticipate the increasing volume of the homecoming returning flow especially for vehicles passing Jakarta-Cikampek Toll. The strategies, he said, are by operating 31 Jakarta ticket booths and by closing several rest or service areas (TIP) that can cause congestion in fuel line up.
