TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Starting today, January 19, the government will adjust the price of subsidized gasoline (Premium) every two weeks, taking global oil prices as consideration. Energy Ministry official says the pricing is also incorporated into the scheme 2015 Amended State Budget.
IGN Wiratmaja, acting director general of oil and gas at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, said the government will keep Premium sales prices outside Java and Bali cheaper than in the two major islands. This policy will be maintained until there is a balanced economic condition between Java-Bali and other parts of Indonesia.
On Friday last week President Joko Widodo announced that Premium price will be lowered to Rp6,600 starting this Monday for areas outside Java and Bali. Java price remains at Rp6,700 while in Bali the fuel the price is RP7,000 per liter.
