Fuel Price Decrease to be Announced on Monday, Official Says

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has officially announced that subsidized fuel price will be reduced next Monday. Earlier today in the Presidential Palace, Jokowi confirmed that the government is set to drop fuel price by Rp 925 per liter in average.
Jokowi said that the price for Premium type fuel will be reduced from Rp 7,600 to Rp 6,600 per liter. On the other hand, the price of subsidized diesel fuel (Solar) will be reduced from Rp 7,250 to Rp 6,400 per liter. He cited that the policy will be effective on Monday, January 19, 2015.
Energy and Mineral Resource Minister Sudirman Said, said that the plan is final. "When we have had a conclusion, the President can announce it," he said.
