TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Campaign participants from Jakarta and the vicinities flocked the Jakarta International Stadium or JIS to attend the grand campaign of candidate pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar on Saturday, Feb. 10.

As a result, areas around JIS starting from Ancol Station until the outside and inside of the stadium were filled with 01 supporters.

Mobility access is also slowed down. The commuter line train, or KRL, which passes on the railway close to JIS also slowed down its speed. Based on TEMPO monitoring, the speed of the KRL was like someone jogging.

Security officers guarding the area near the railway next to JIS said that the KRL slowed down its speed due to the large number of campaign participants crossing the railway.

"It was deliberately slowed down because of this campaign," said one of the officers on Saturday, Feb. 10. The KRL train passing the area was the Jakarta Kota line, he added.

Today is the last day of the campaign period for the 2024 General Election. Candidate pair Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar carried out a grand campaign at JIS today. After today's grand campaign, there will be a three-day cool-down period before voting day on February 14, 2024.
