TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The weather forecast from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) on Wednesday warns that the NORU tropical cyclone - detected over the South China Sea - will likely cause rainfall over a number of Indonesian regions.

In addition, it also has an impact on high sea waves (2.5-4 meters) in the North Natuna Sea, north of Sabang Island.

The regions that are expected to experience rain on a moderate scale are Ternate and Medan. Light rain is likely to occur in Serang, Bengkulu, Gorontalo, Jambi, Bandung, Pontianak, Banjarmasin, Samarinda, Tarakan, Tanjung Pinang, Kupang, Pekanbaru, Mamuju, Kendari, Manado and Padang.

The air temperature ranges from 19-34°C with the lowest temperature in Bandung, while the highest temperature is in Semarang and Surabaya.
