TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Bank Mandiri’s mobile banking app, Livin’ by Mandiri, has been inaccessible since this morning, Feb. 25. Complaints are arising as customers have issues accessing the online service.
Bank Mandiri corporate secretary Rudi Asaturridha has finally spoken up about the issue. He explained that the app crashed due to a significant increase in transactions that leads to a surge in queues at the bank service.
Rudi claimed his side has fixed the issues so the mobile app can be accessed again. “We announce that transactions can be carried out in stages,” he said in an official statement on Friday afternoon.
In addition, he ensured that customers could make transactions using other services, such as ATMs, e-money, Mandiri Debit, and Mandiri Credit Cards.
Since today morning, many customers complained about the service of the state lender through social media. They questioned the cause of the mobile banking app being inaccessible.
Through its official Twitter account, Bank Mandiri offered an apology and said its Livin' by Mandiri’s system is under maintenance.
