TEMPO.CO, Depok - Depok City Government plans to build a Dutch historical destination dubbed the 'Heritage Depok Lama' (Old Depok Heritage) in Pancoran Mas Regency. Depok Lama area, or the Old Depok, is known as one of the Dutch heritages in the city.

The city deputy mayor Imam Budi Hartono said that the discussion related to that matter, had been held in the meeting with the University of Indonesia Faculty of Technology (FTUI) on Thursday, Oct. 28.

“All the plans had been set to realize the Heritage Depok Lama. However, there must be a collboration with the Dutch Government first,” said Imam, Saturday, Oct. 30, explaining that the collaboration would be in the form of Sister City concept.

"The first collaboration is establishing the Sister City with the Netherlands, so the Dutch history in Depok could become an attraction for the world citizens coming to the city," he added.

The deputy mayor said that the Heritage Depok Lama development would involve Depok City Government, the Embassy of the Netherlands, FTUI, various communities, and enterpreneurs.
