TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After a very long wait, 'Black Widow' will finally be screened on Indonesian movie theaters starting September 16, the same day that Jakarta cinemas reopen. The movie tells the story of one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Natasha Romanoff a.k.a. Black Widow, one of the original six Avengers.
The movie provides answers about Natasha's backgrounds that have never been revealed before.
Set between the events in 'Captain America: Civil War' and 'Avengers: Infinity War', the spy-thriller flick takes audience on a journey with Natasha as she confronts her past.
The film also showcases the lives of people around Natasha and how they shaped her into becoming the character that fans love.
"It feels really good to me. Not many actresses get the chance to dive into a character she's played for 10 years like this," she said.
The star-studded movie is based on the Marvel comics released in 1964. Black Widow also features Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Rachel Weisz as Melina, and David Harbor as Alexei aka Red Guardian.
