TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A Rimbun Air airplane with flight number PK OTW reportedly lost contact in the Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, today, Wednesday, September 15, 2021. The plane was traveling from Intan Jaya Regency to Nabire Regency, Papua.

Intan Jaya Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sandi Sultan said that the plane was reported to have lost contact at 07:37 WIT.

Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Commissioner Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, confirmed that statement through a written statement on Wednesday, September 15, 2021."Before contact was finally lost. Until now there has been no contact from the Rimbun Air airplane," said Kamal.

Kamal said there were three crew members, namely Mirza as the pilot, Fajar as the co-pilot, and Iswahyudi as the technician. The plane only carries basic necessities and building materials.

The Nabire Resort Police have also been working to find the whereabouts of the Rimbun Air airplane. "Yes, the joint team is still searching," said Kamal.
