TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) under the command of Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has launched a mobile app touted as ‘Propam Presisi’ - Propam is the Indonesian Police internal affairs - for both Android and Apple users. The digital app accommodates complaints related to the performance of police personnel.

The launch was announced by the Police's public relations division (Humas Polri) Twitter account. It claimed that the app enables people to file official complaints regarding the services and attitudes shown by Polri personnel.

The Police Chief reportedly said that the app was also made to keep police members in check within their internal scope and help the Polri improve for the future.

To use the service, the public can download the mobile app and register with an official and active NIK (citizen identity number) that is written on the ID card for verification requirements. Then do a facial scan to verify a complaint before it gets sent to the police database.

Complaints can be filed either by filling out a form or uploading a photo as evidence.
