Erick Thohir Boosts Millennials Representation in SOEs

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir on Thursday said that he is trying to fulfill the 5 percent millennials representation goal across SOEs board of directors and commissioners. One of the attempts to achieve this is through the CEO and CFO Muda Rumah BUMN, or young CEO and CFOs in SOEs program.
“The assessment and leadership program and the CEO and CFO Muda Rumah BUMN managerial and entrepreneurship bootcamp is designed as a development program for talents that are included in the SOEs priority list,” Minister Erick Thohir stated in a written statement on Thursday, March 18.
The program, which was initiated in 2016, specifically looks for potential young leaders in state-owned enterprises, so they can contribute to the public especially in MSMEs.
The Ministry records show there are 246 Rumah Bumn established and spread across Indonesia that are managed by 14 state-owned enterprises.
Erick Thohir hopes that the follow up program will help accelerate the development of MSMEs, millennial basecamps, distribution of small business development and environmental empowerment programs, co-working spaces, and the development of disaster task forces.
