Jakarta International Stadium Project Almost 50% Complete

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The construction of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) project in North Jakarta is 45.2 percent complete, said city-owned developers Jakpro Corporate Communication Manager Melisa Sjach. The development is targeted to finish in October 2021.
She explained that the project that is based on the FIFA standard has entered the installation stage of the girder ramp.
“The construction is running at night so it will not cause traffic congestion on Jalan Sunter Permai Raya,” said Melisa in a written statement, Thursday, January 28.
The traffic is also redirected along Jalan Sunter Permai Raya. Jakpro has installed 14 out of 17 girders in the west ramp which would complete in the next three days.
According to Melisa, the west ramp would connect the stadium, which will serve as the headquarters of Jakarta soccer club Persija, to the BMW Park.
The Jakarta International Stadium located in North Jakarta was built on an area of 221,000 square meters with a capacity of 82,000 people. The stadium would be equipped with smart technology.
