TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The lawyer of PT Buana Permata Hijau, Damianus Renjaan, demanded Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan stop the construction project of Jakarta International Stadium or commonly known BMW Stadium.
According to Damianus, lands of BMW Park in Sunter, North Jakarta planned to be used as the stadium for Jakarta football club Persija belonged to PT Buana Permata Hijau, not the city administration.
“We demand Governor Anies stop the construction project because the land certificate is proved to be invalid. That means, every action taken there is against the law,” said Damianus after Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) favored his client’s lawsuit, Tuesday, May 14.
He asserted that lands in the BMW Park belong to his client based on the court verdict No. 282/G/2018/PTUN-JKT.
The panel of judges revoked two certificates of the right of use (SHP) issued by North Jakarta Land Office that allowed the construction of Jakarta International Stadium for Persija.
Anies Baswedan previously established a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction project of BMW Stadium on March 14, 2019, despite the land status was still in dispute. The governor said that the new soccer stadium would have international standard facilities.
