TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Police had collected 24 surveillance cameras or CCTV footage from a number of fire spots in the Attorney General's Office (AGO) main building.

“But eight of the 24 recordings are burned,” said the Police’s Head of the Public Information Bureau Brig. Gen. Awi Setiyono on Friday, August 28.

The Forensic Laboratory Team was also examining 21 samples of ash taken from different points at the location.

“We have examined 99 people, too, starting from the cleaning service officers, freelance workers, up to employees of the Attorney General's Office,” Awi added.

As widely reported, a huge fire broke out at the main building of AGO on August 22, 2020, at around 7:10 p.m. A total of 65 fire trucks were deployed to put out the blaze.

Buildings destroyed in the fire were offices of the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, Planning and Finance Bureau, Development Bureau, Intelligence Bureau, and Workers Affairs Bureau. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the incident.
