TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A team from the national police headquarters (Mabes Polri) forensic lab has reportedly secured a number of CCTVs from several locations installed at the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) that went in flames on Saturday for further analysis.

The Mabes Polri spokesman, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, said that the CCTV footage will help investigators find out how the six-story building caught on fire.

“Our team in the field have checked and secured CCTVs from a number of locations for further analysis,” said Argo on Tuesday, August 25.

The police also said the forensic team will take a number of samples from the scene, mainly from the leftover ashes that might give investigators additional leads on what has caused the fire at the AGO.

On Saturday evening, August 22, fire broke at the Main Building of the Attorney General's Office. A total of 65 fire engines were deployed to put out the flames.

The building that caught fire was the office of the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, Planning and Finance Bureau, Development Bureau, Intelligence, and Bureau of Personnel. There were no fatalities in the incident.
