TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police have announced the arrest of a suspect with the initial “G” in Central Kalimantan over the case involving a certain fetish of wrapping people in cloth, which is identified as “bondage mummification.”
“Yes, an arrest has been made thanks to the coordination between police divisions across East Java, Surabaya, Central Kalimantan, and Kapuas,” said East Java Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Trunoyudo Andiko on Friday.
The police initially tracked down the suspect in the region of Kapuas and apprehended the suspect before transferring the suspect to Surabaya for further investigation by the region’s police.
“G” faces multiple charges under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law) and the Criminal Code (KUHP) Law.
