TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The port health authority (KKP) at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport announced it had prepared a special lane for passengers carrying COVID-19 PCR test reports proving they had tested negative for the disease.
“Those showing negative PCR test results will be further accommodated as there are special accessways for both domestic and international passengers,” said the head of Soekarno-Hatta KKP, Anas Ma’ruf, in Monday’s “Talk Show Corona” online discussion.
This comes after the government through the Health Ministry’s Law No.HK.02.01/MENKES/338/2020 requires anyone entering the country to have undergone PCR tests to prove they have not contracted the coronavirus.
Passengers with PCR test health reports will be given health alert cards, fill in a form, have their body temperature checked, and undergo an interview. However, people that pass the airport without having undergone COVID-19 PCR tests will receive a rapid test along with the same aforementioned procedure.
If the rapid tests come back reactive, they will be referred to the Wisma Atlet emergency COVID-19 hospital, while people who test negative will be guided to conduct self-quarantine prior to undergoing a swab test.
