BCA Executive Vice President Secretariat & Corporate Communications, Hera F. Haryn, stated that office management had mitigated the issue and that stringent health protocol procedures had been in place, such as complete sterilization and ozonation of the bank’s facilities at Equity Tower.

Hera also announced the temporary closure of BCA operations at the location. “We continue to give our utmost support to the employee and also make sure that she is under proper care [by local authorities],” said Hera.

According to the details Tempo obtained, the female employee is in her thirties and had last reported present at work on July 14, 2020, before she was diagnosed for dengue fever. The employee underwent a COVID-19 rapid test the following day and came back with a non-reactive result.
