TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia AirAsia has decided to increase the number of its commissioners from three to five. Chief commissioner Dendy Kurniawan said this was done to improve internal supervision and ensuring good governance.

"To improve supervision; to ensure better compliance, good corporate governance and operational excellence," he said as quoted by Bisnis.com, October 30.

Dendy was named chief commissioner replacing Pin Haris. Meanwhile, Veranita Yosephin replaced him as president director.

On the other hand, AirAsia reduced the number of its board of directors members from five to three. These corporate decisions were approved in a shareholders' general meeting on October 24.

"There is no material impact—whether in terms of operations, legal, finances, or business sustainability," the company stated in an information disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
