AirAsia Launches Eid Ticket Deals; International Flights Starting from Rp389,000

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - AirAsia has launched attractive deals to celebrate the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The Indonesian low-cost carrier offers tickets on international routes at exclusive rates starting from Rp389,000.
“Tickets can be reserved from today (April 2) to April 7, 2024, with a departure period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, on the official AirAsia Indonesia platform,” the airline’s President Director Veranita Yosephine said in a written statement on Monday, April 1.
Veranita said the company understands the high desire among the public to embark on vacations during the annual long holiday and mass exodus, including those working or studying abroad, particularly in several ASEAN nations and Australia.
Amidst the deluge of reports regarding expensive airfares from various airlines, Veranita said AirAsia presents alternative air travel options at reduced costs. “This effort is also aimed at assisting the government in catering to the interest of the people in traveling to various tourist destinations during the Eid holidays,” said Veranita.
Moreover, the Transportation Ministry estimated the number of air passengers to be around 4.4 million. “We have taken the initiative to facilitate people to travel to various destinations at affordable prices, making it easier for people to travel together with family and relatives.”
AirAsia Indonesia serves flights from Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bali, Yogyakarta, and Lombok with direct flights to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Penang, Bangkok, Johor Bahru, and the newest routes of Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. “These flights are also the option for people to return to their hometowns in Indonesia,” said Veranita.
Here is the list of AirAsia's special deals for international routes during the 2024 Eid holidays:
1. Flight from Jakarta to Singapore at Rp389,000, to Kuala Lumpur at Rp609,000, to Kota Kinabalu at Rp779,000, to Kuching at Rp749,000, and to Perth at Rp990,000.
2. Flight from Surabaya to Kuala Lumpur at Rp499,000, to Penang at Rp849,000, and to Johor Bahru at Rp749,000.
3. Flight from Medan to Kuala Lumpur is Rp489,000, to Penang Rp445,000, and to Bangkok Rp879,000.
4. Flight from Bali to Kuala Lumpur at Rp969,000, to Singapore at Rp699,000, and to Perth at Rp1.1 million.
5. Flight from Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur at Rp1 million and to Singapore at Rp499,000.
6. Flight from Lombok to Kuala Lumpur at Rp689,000.
