TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Corporate Secretary Garuda Indonesia M. Ikhsan Rosan revealed that the company’s decision to withdraw all of its logos from Sriwijaya Air airplanes is to preserve the reputation of Garuda Indonesia Group.
Ikhsan says that Sriwijaya Air could no longer maintain the level of performance in terms of services that Garuda Group demands.
“Garuda Indonesia’s logo withdrawal from Sriwijaya Air is an attempt to preserve the brand of Garuda Indonesia Group, especially considering the consistencies within Sriwijaya Air Group’s services that no longer coincide with Garuda following the partnership dispute between the two managements,” said Ikhsan in a written letter on Wednesday.
The dispute he refers to is the management cooperation (KSM) between Garuda Indonesia Group and Sriwijaya Air Group. As this article is published, the process of withdrawing the state-owned air carrier’s logo is still undergoing.
