TEMPO.CO, Sukabumi - The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) continued the search for 15 victims of the landslide in Cisolok, Sukabumi Regency, West Java. The location is divided into six sectors.
“Currently, the focus is on the fourth and fifth sectors near the river,” said the Director of Basarnas Operations, Brig. Gen. (Mar.) Budi Purnama in Sirnaresmi Village, Friday, January 4. In that sector, there were allegedly 14 deaths and the other one near the river.
Budi admitted that the search was difficult because it was hampered by bad weather, so the search was stopped.
He hoped the weather would not hamper today's search, so the team could find the 15 Sukabumi landslide victims more quickly. Basarnas deployed heavy equipment such as three excavators, alkaline pumps, hoes, and shovels.
