Yenny Wahid Proposed as Deputy Chief of Jokowi-Ma`ruf Camp

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Campaign Team (TKN) deputy chief of Joko Widodo or Jokowi-Ma`ruf Amin, Abdul Kadir Karding, said Yenny Wahid had a chance to take the position as the campaign team deputy chief.
“I think it will depend on Pak Erick and Mbak Yenny. I’ll welcome Mbak Yenny no matter where will she be posted. If it's at the TKN, [she can] at least become the deputy chief," Karding said at Cemara Post, Central Jakarta, Thursday, Sept. 27.
He said the list of campaign team submitted to the KPU could be revised.

The daughter of late President Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur declared her support for Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 Presidential race. “We will support presidential pair No. 1. Bismillah, President Jokowi will lead us again,” Yenny Wahid said on Wednesday.
Karding viewed Yenny’s support toward Jokowi-Ma’ruf would help in gaining women’s vote in the 2019 presidential election.
TKN official Hasto said Yenny Wahid would communicate directly with the Jokowi-Ma’ruf camp leader, Erick Thohir, despite she has yet to be enlisted in the campaign team.
