“While in the weekday [the figure] reaches 3000 passengers,” she said on Monday, August 13.
The first operation of LRT Palembang started on July 23, 2018, and up to August 13, it had boarded a total of 100,938 passengers with its four trainsets which operated for 38 trips per day.
Aida mentioned the train would be prioritized for athletes, officials, organizing committees, and journalists during the 2018 Asian Games. However, the public could utilize the railway transportation depending on its availability.
Aida explained the integrated posts had been set up in each station, consisting of the Commitment Officer (PPK) of South Sumatra LRT, three SOEs PT Waskita, PT INKA and PT LEN, in a bid to ease the coordination and repairment should a technical problem arise during the operations.
