TEMPO.CO, Bogor - A total of 56 terror convicts were transferred from the Nusakambangan correctional facilities in Central Java to Gunung Sindur IIB Class Penitentiary in Bogor regency on Sunday night, May 20, 2018.
According to the secretary to the Directorate General of Penitentiary of the Law and Human Rights Ministry, Liberty Sitinjak, all of the convicts were former inmates of the Salemba Penitentiary at Mobil Brigade headquarters (Mako Brimob) in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java.
The inmates were moved to Bogor for further questioning by the police’s counterterrorism squad Densus 88 prior to their trials. “So everything was for their own good, so they have legal certainties,” Liberty told Tempo on Sunday.

Liberty could not yet confirm the names of the male inmates. “We are awaiting data [on the inmates’ names]. We couldn’t do much because of the rain,” he said.
