Jasa Marga: 430,000 Vehicles Leaves Jakarta in 2017 Homecoming

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State owned toll road operator Jasa Marga recorded that more than 106,000 vehicles left Jakarta through Cikarang main toll gate three days before Eid.
"This number shows an increase as much as 34 percent from the average normal traffic flow which is 78,000 vehicles," Jasa Marga vice president for corporate communications Dwimawan Heru said on Friday, June 23.
Despite the increase, Dwimawan added, the number drops compared to traffic flow on the day before, Wednesday, that reached 116,000 vehicles.

"From six to three days before Eid, Jasa Marga has recorded a total of 430,000 vehicles leaving Jakarta to Cikarang main toll gate," Dwimawan said.
He further explained that 100,000 units of vehicles left Jakarta on Monday, 108,000 units on Tuesday, 116,000 units on Wednesday, and 106,000 units on Thursday.
To anticipate long queue, Darmawan said, Jasa Marga and the police temporarily closed down Cikarang main toll gate, Bekasi, so that road users are directed to exit through West Cikarang 3 and re-enter through West Cikarang 1 to Cikampek.
