XL Launch 4G LTE Service in Balikpapan, Samarinda

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Network service provider PT XL Axiata Tbk. launched its latest 4G LTE services in Samarinda and Balikpapan. XL Axiata North Region Vice President Handono Warih, said that the two largest cities in East Kalimantan have good economic potential.

Handono expressed his confidence that Balikpapan and Samarinda will be the main driver of economic growth in East and North Kalimantan.

"The 4G LTE high-speed internet service in Samarinda and Balikapapan will be able to support public activities and businesses in both cities," Handono said in a text message on Monday, April 24, 2017.

Handono added that the 4G LTE service will help business players in the region to improve the competitiveness of local products and allow them to reach out to a broader market.

General Manager of LTE Execution Assurance of XL Axiata Ronhugo Verry Lenoard Tambunan, added that the 4g LTE service will be provided through 80 base transceiver station (BTS).
