TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Buffalo meat from India is set to enter Indonesia on the last week of August. Director of the State Logistics Agency, Djarot Kusumayakti, said that the meat is on its shipment to Indonesia.
"It will be here in sequence," Djarot said Monday, August 22, 2016.
He said that the vessel transporting the buffalo meat will enter Indonesia once every two or three days. But he assured that by the mid of September, the total 9,500 tons of import will reach Indonesia.
Moreover, he added that the import is a measure to battle the ever increasing beef price, which has reached Rp80,000 per kilogram.
