TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung said that President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday, May 26, 2016 departed for Nagoya, Japan, to attend G7 Outreach meeting.
“The meeting agenda is to discuss how to address economic problems,” Pramono said after accompanying Jokowi to Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta on Thursday, May 26, 2016.
In addition to discussing economic issues at the meeting, Pramono revealed, President Jokowi would invite Japanese investors to improve the investment grade.
Pramono added that President Jokowi has been scheduled to attend to bilateral meetings with French President Francois Hollande and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Pramono explained that President Jokowi would discuss the development of Patimban Port in Subang, West Java, and the Jakarta-Surabaya medium-speed train project with Mr. Abe.
“Foreign countries have positively welcomed government’s current endeavors to conduct reform [in Indonesia],” Pramono said.
