TEMPO.CO, Roma - Serie A newly promoted club, Bologna, expressed interest in signing Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli on loan, reports said Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
Liverpool signed Mario ‘Bad Boy’ Balotelli last season to replace Luis Suarez. The Italian international, however, failed to impress, scoring only one goal throughout the season.
Pantaleo Corvino, Sports Director of Bologna, said that he plans to bring Balotelli back to Italy. He added that if the price is reasonable, Bologna might consider on signing the player full term.
As for Balotelli, Liverpool seem to offer another season of bench for the falling idol. The Reds now don two talented striker upfront in the likes of Christian Benteke and Danny Ings. Moreover, helmsman Brendan Rodgers has said that he cannot secure Balotelli’s future in Liverpool.
