TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Transjakarta president director Antonius N.S. Kosasih said the city-owned bus operator was preparing an integrated e-ticketing system for the capital’s integrated bus network (APTB) and air-conditioned Kopaja mini buses. He added APTB and Kopaja passengers would not have to pay additional fees to enter busway shelters after the system took effect.
“There will be special e-tickets that could be scanned on the machines at Transjakarta shelters,” he said on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. Antonius said the e-tickets, priced at Rp5,000 apiece, could be used to enter the shelters and should be submitted to the bus conductor on Transjakarta buses as proof of payment.
Antonius said he had communicated this plan with Kopaja and APTB managements. He added the production of the planned e-tickets would be covered in a joint payment by Kopaja and APTB operators, including Mayasari Bakti, Sinar Jaya, PPD and Agra Mas.
Kopaja head Nanang Basuki has confirmed the plan, adding that the issuance of the e-tickets had been discussed together with Transjakarta and the Jakarta Transportation Agency.
“But it has only been discussed once, so it’s not final yet,” he said.
