TEMPO.CO, Rio de Janeiro – German national team coach Joachim Low is confident that German will able to put up a good fight against Brazil when they meet in the World Cup semi-final.
"We've been in at least the semi-finals of the last four World Cups and that just shows that we've been playing consistently at the very highest level,” said Low on Tuesday.
"One thing is for sure—we desperately want to play in the Maracana in Rio again, on 13 July. We are not done yet."
Low said he would prepare a special strategy to beat Brazil but declined to say more. "We'll devise a good plan and give Brazil a real fight. The chances are even and it's going to come down to something really minor, who reaches the final,” he said.
The last time Germany lost to Brazil was in the final of 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan when Brazil beat Germany 2-0.
