TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chairman of the Revival Nation Party (PKB), Muhaimin Iskandar, stated that they will put forward famous Indonesian dangdut singer, Rhoma Irama, to be their official presidential candidate for the party. According to Muhaimin, Rhoma is very suitable to be the next Indonesian president because he has good intention in developing the country.

He also explained that PKB proposed Rhoma Irama because of his songs. "Just listen to his lyrics, they could enlighten the whole nation!," said Muhaimin when inaugurating the "Rhoma Irama for President" election commission in Jakarta yesterday.

Muhaimin guaranteed that Rhoma's popularity could boost PKB's voice in the upcoming 2014 legislative election. If it succeeded, PKB will find a partner for the "King of Dangdut" in the presidential candidate race.

Previously, PKB had already proposed three names to be their presidential candidates: Mahfud Md., Rhoma Irama, and the Chairman of Central Indonesian Red Cross Jusuf Kalla.
