TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ratna Sarumpaet`s attorney, Insank Nasrudin, insists that his client – suspect of a public lie – will file yet another request for a city arrest to the Metro Jaya Police’s general criminal investigation unit investigators.

Insank plans to file the request after police investigators are done questioning the witnesses to her case. Ratna Sarumpaet’s initial request for a city arrest was denied by metro jaya’s investigators.

“The team of lawyers will request for a city arrest again after the entire witnesses are questioned,” said Insank when Tempo reached him on Sunday, October 14.

Insank believes that there is a possibility that their request would be granted considering that investigators previously denied Ratna Sarumpaet’s request because of the ongoing investigation.

That initial reasoning by police investigators is what pushed Insank to press police investigators upon completing the investigation as soon as possible.

“Question the witnesses that have not been summoned and accelerate the legal procedure so that [Ratna Sarumpaet`s case] can soon be court trialed,” said Insank.
