54-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Carrying Ecstasy Pills, Meth

TEMPO.CO, Medan - A passenger boarding Lion Air airways with flight number JT 913 from Kualanamu airport to Balikpapan airport was arrested by airport security officials for carrying 1,500 ecstasy pills and 1 gram of meth.
The 54-year-old woman was identified as Hajjah Isdiani, a resident in Samarinda who was visiting Medan.
Spokesperson of Kualanamu airport Wisnu Budi said that on Sunday (7/1) at around 4 pm, Hajjah Isdiani was about to depart to Balikpapan on Lion Air airways.
However, officials suspected her gestures.
"When she was passing through the metal detector and the scanner, the officials suspected that Isdiani was hiding something behind her clothes,” Wisnu said to Tempo.
Afterwards, a female official named Rani conducted a ‘body search’ to Isdiani and found 1,500 ecstasy pills 1 gram of meth hidden in her bra.
Shortly afterwards, Isdiani was detained at Polres Deli Serdang for further questioning.
In the meantime, Deli Serdang resort police are now investigating the source of those ecstasy pills and meth.
