TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-run airport operator PTAngkasa Pura II (AP II) predicted that the peak of homecoming that is taking place on Friday, July 25, will last until Sunday, July 27. The number of passengers during that period is expected to reach at least 185 thousand people per day.
“During H-3 that takes place Friday, the number of passengers at the airport is predicted to reach 185,556 passengers or increased by 10.44 percent than last year's H-3,” said the airport operator's Corporate Secretary Daryanto.
As a whole, he predicted the come and returning of the homecoming passengers to the airport will reach 2.84 million people. That means it will increase by 7.11 percent compared with the same period last year.
In response to the surge of passengers, the company set up ‘Lebaran Angkutan’ courier posts at every terminal in the airport. Those posts are placed with uniformed Duta Bandara personnel to assist travellers who are experiencing difficulties.
